The Q and walls of Marshalls

Here's the tracking setup for "The Q" guitarist Ralf Ostertag, including a fine selection of Marshall tube guitar power. Cabinets were captured with a vintage Sennheiser MD409 and classic Bang and Olufsen BM3 ribbon mic for close mic'ing, and an Altec/AKG - M30/C28 combination for the room.

Brian Fraaza

Singer/songwriter Brian Fraaza has begun tracking a new project in Studio A. Songs include material that he's using in his role as worship leader at "The River". Rhythm tracking includes guitars, bass, percussion, Rhodes piano, and Hammond organ. Here Brian and bass player Nate Danis catch a breather between takes.

More Vintage gear

Our classic RCA BA6 variable mu tube compressors are currently being reconditioned and updated. At Brown & Brown, we specialize in finding classic and vintage alternatives for our clients. This set of compressors was manufactured in the 1940's and is one of only 3 popular designs that take advantage of transconductant compression. This is the same type of compression found in the venerable "Fairchild" compressors. Our pair have been modified for true stereo operation, and can add that "special stuff" to your mixes. Call now to schedule a listen.
